Here’s our list for the best aviation apps for the iphone. Some are free and some are pay. Just think though your next 3 hour taxi in Newark will more than pay for any of the pay apps!
Free Applications:
- AeroWeather – Pull Metars and Tafs for your favorite airports.
- Weather Channel – Self explanatory
Pay Applications:
- FaaWait – $.99 A quick an easy way to see what delays are currently happening throughout the system. Links to Weather Underground and the Weather Channel.
Overnight Related:
- Urbanspoon – Not sure what there is to eat within walking distance. Well let Urbanspoon show you the way.
- Yelp – See what everyone is saying about local hotspots. Is a social networking site that will also show you dining information as well as other things to do near by.
- USA Today – Great for when you don’t get a free copy or someone steals it!
Other Stuff:
If you use Hotmail on a daily basis mBox mail is a must have application. It makes using Hotmail extremely easy. $4.99
Yahoo has an updated application.
Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter (Try Twitterfon) applications are also available.
If you want an app to track your fitness training try TrailGuru. It’s free and easy to use.
