What’s On My iPhone

6 June 2010 No Comment

Yeah I have about 20 pages of apps on my iPhone but here is my current lise (June 2010) of Aviation related apps.

FAAWait – Great way to see the current delays in the system

AeroWeather – Free app for Metars and TAFs

FltCrewiLog – Popular logbook program for 121 flying includes the ability to import pairings from a variety of 121 scheduling systems.

LogTen Mobile – A good logbook for GA and 121 flying

MyRadar Pro – There is a free version with add support. Great simple app to look at the weather radar nation wide. It is location aware

AOPA Airports – I don’t use it a lot but is very handy for GA flying. Must be an AOPA member to keep data up to date

USA Today – That’s aviation related right?

Skype – Not specifically aviation related but I use it often on international trips

Acrobits Softphone – If you use a VOIP service like VOIP.MS, Sipgate, Vonage, VoipTalk etc you can use this app to make phone calls with Wifi or 3G.

I have also tried:

Flogger – Not a fan of this logbook for 121 flying but some like it for its costs $9.99 and simplicity.

What do you use? Send us a comment. If you have an iPad we would be interested in hearing what apps you use.

Thanks!
